Chris Teeder

Chris was one of the founder members of the Soul Detectives and was also the keyboard player for Tony Jackson and The Vibrations when they reformed in 1991.

He was brought up in a musical family, his father was a semi-professional trumpet player and older brothers played trumpet and piano. After learning classical piano from an early age he discovered the wonders of rock music during his late teens. At the age of 18 he bought his first synthesizer (a Yamaha CS60) from well known keyboard player Reg Webb and soon after began making public live appearances with local rock bands. Eventually he was introduced to the renowned rock guitarist Phil Hilborne and joined his band staying as a regular member for over 15 years. He still works with them on occasions even now.

During his time with Phil he has been privileged to work with many well known artists including John Entwistle, Gary Moore, Dave Gilmour, Nicko McBrain, Ted McKenna, Uli Jon Roth, Frank Gambale, Geoff Whitehorn to name a few. Chris has also worked with a variety of other bands and acts in both the UK and Europe.

Over recent years Chris has been working with Phil Hilborne and the drummer of Iron Maiden, Nicko McBrain, together with vocalist Peter Eldridge and bassist Andy Frost. They have been making occasional appearances at festivals, music shows and other venues around the UK sometimes with other well known special guests such as Whitesnake's guitarist Bernie Marsden and the Scorpion's guitarist Uli Jon Roth

Even more recently, Chris has been working in venues in both the UK and Europe with the Original Chicago Blues Brothers as a stand-in for the Kinks keyboard player Ian Gibbons while he is on tour with Ray Davies and the Kast Off Kinks.
