Paul Francis Autobiography Released

Paul Francis has just published his autobiography called 'Drumming Up Vibrations'.

It tells the story of Paul's life and a music career which spans over five decades.

During this time he worked with many top artists which include Steve Harley, Maggie Bell, Jack Bruce and Bill Wyman. A large part of the book is dedicated to telling the previously untold story of Tony Jackson and The Vibrations, which Paul joined in 1964 when Tony left the Searchers. Paul played on all of Tony's solo recordings and toured with him from 1964 to 1967 and remained close friends with him until Tony's death in 2003.

The book also documents when Paul and Tony reformed the Vibrations in the 1990's and how the band eventually became The Soul Detectives.

From his first experience of a drum kit to running his present day drum school, the book takes you through the highs and lows Paul experienced during his long career in the music business. Complete with many pictures and interesting anecdotes the book is a guaranteed compulsive read.

It is available now from Orchard Percussion Studios, Amazon, Waterstones and W H Smith.
